Among the volunteer opportunities at Alderwood
Park:
One-to-One Visitors
Spend some time with a resident
chatting, writing letters, or playing a game. Set your own schedule.
We require a short orientation before the first meeting and a
three-month commitment.

Mail Delivery
Mail arrives Monday through Saturday
between 2:30-3:00 p.m. Come and deliver the mail and read these
important letters to the residents, if they request it. The holiday
season is especially busy for mail delivery. Scheduling is flexible.

Activity Assistant
Do you like to bowl, cook, play bingo,
sing, or tell stories? We have many residents that need assistance
during our planned activities. The activity schedule is daily, with
morning, afternoon and weekend times that we need your support. Our
schedule is flexible, but we would prefer advance notice that you
will be attending and a three-month commitment.

Special Activities
Ice cream socials, holiday parties,
birthday parties, community outings, the "senior prom," and casino
night are a few of the special occasions when we need extra help. If
you would like to volunteer your time to help us with these extra
events, it will be on an "on-call" basis or call us ahead of time to
tell us you would like to attend.

Monthly Calendars
Each resident room at Alderwood Park
needs an activity calendar. The calendars need to be posted in the
afternoon of the last day of the month, or in the morning on the
first of the month.
